OK Kanmani release postponed!

It is rumoured strongly that ace film-maker Mani Ratnam, who was planning to release his OK Kanmani either in March or April, has now postponed the release to May.

Sources close to the Unit of the film say that Mani, who hasn’t been having the best of times at the box-office for the past few years with his Raavanan and Kadal failing miserably, is looking for a week when no other big films are released except his film. He wants the audiences and movie-goers to watch his films without any other distraction, they say on condition of anonymity.

Starring Mollywood superstar Mammootty’s son Dulquer Salmaan and the almost forgotten Nithya Menen in lead roles, OK Kanmani was launched in the second half of last year and has Prakash Raj, Leela Samson and Prabhu Lakshman in lead roles. Kanika has essayed a cameo in the film which has music by Mani Ratnam’s favourite music director A.R. Rahman.
